How my life would be different if .......
I believe that every thing happens for a reason and that is under any circumstance. Just to think that if any of this had not happened then there would have been a certain amount and type of people in the world. I think that there would have been several ways in which we were affected if all these events had never happened. Some of the effects that I can think of right away is that people would still live under the slavery and discrimination, the government would still be monarch, in many terms we would be so ignorant that we would be missing much of the important things in the world to live better in. also the value, tradition, and cultures of people would not had been as diverse as it is today. In general the world would have been a terrible place to live in with a messed up population, and this would affect the world completely. Fortunately this did not happen thanks to great minds like: Galileo, Newton, Francis bacon, john Locke, Adam smith, and many others.

the columbian exchange
The Columbian exchange was an event that revolved around the trading between the old and new world. This I believe had its positives and its negatives. The positives would be that during the course of the exchanges many things that would eventually be very important and some times crucial were exchanged. Amongst the many things that were traded there were cotton, metal, animals, but most of the trading involved food that were also originated in the old world like apples, oranges, butter, sugar, flour, ect. On the other hand the items that originated in the new world were tomatoes, peppers, corn, vanilla, ect. This was the main focus in the trade, but of course this also brought unwanted things like diseases/ viruses. The diseases were originally brought from the old world and even though if affected both worlds, for the new world it was devastating. Amongst the deadly diseases that the Europeans brought, bird flu, aids, and salmonella were included. Under the trading Europe bought/ traded raw materials from the Americas and shipped manufactured goods to their colonies, but that is something that has changed since today America has its own factories and make their own products. Over all I think that the way colonization took effect was certainly unfair for the new world since it included cruelty, massacre, and death, but for the old world it was an opportunity that was there and advantage was going to be taken of.

Discovering the undiscovered
After various discoveries that have taken place, NASA is again onto something. There seems to be a petit vortex forming in outer space and as great astronomer and astronaut, I’ve been asked to explore in depth this thing. There are certainly some things that must be taken in consideration before attempting to accomplish this mission, weather the results are good or bad. The good things could be that I would be the first man to explore the vortex, another could be that if accomplished I would be greatly recognized possibly various rewards. With this there could be some things that could go wrong. A bad result could be the possible explosion of the spaceship or that the once in outer space the such vortex could suck me in and send me through its yet unknown dimensions and forever be lost or how knows. This would certainly be the facts that an astronaut would have to face but as a man of dedication and curiosity I would definitely be up for the mission.
