How my life would be different if .......

I believe that every thing happens for a reason and that is under any circumstance. Just to think that if any of this had not happened then there would have been a certain amount and type of people in the world. I think that there would have been several ways in which we were affected if all these events had never happened. Some of the effects that I can think of right away is that people would still live under the slavery and discrimination, the government would still be monarch, in many terms we would be so ignorant that we would be missing much of the important things in the world to live better in. also the value, tradition, and cultures of people would not had been as diverse as it is today. In general the world would have been a terrible place to live in with a messed up population, and this would affect the world completely. Fortunately this did not happen thanks to great minds like: Galileo, Newton, Francis bacon, john Locke, Adam smith, and many others.

the columbian exchange

The Columbian exchange was an event that revolved around the trading between the old and new world. This I believe had its positives and its negatives. The positives would be that during the course of the exchanges many things that would eventually be very important and some times crucial were exchanged. Amongst the many things that were traded there were cotton, metal, animals, but most of the trading involved food that were also originated in the old world like apples, oranges, butter, sugar, flour, ect. On the other hand the items that originated in the new world were tomatoes, peppers, corn, vanilla, ect. This was the main focus in the trade, but of course this also brought unwanted things like diseases/ viruses. The diseases were originally brought from the old world and even though if affected both worlds, for the new world it was devastating. Amongst the deadly diseases that the Europeans brought, bird flu, aids, and salmonella were included. Under the trading Europe bought/ traded raw materials from the Americas and shipped manufactured goods to their colonies, but that is something that has changed since today America has its own factories and make their own products. Over all I think that the way colonization took effect was certainly unfair for the new world since it included cruelty, massacre, and death, but for the old world it was an opportunity that was there and advantage was going to be taken of.

Discovering the undiscovered

After various discoveries that have taken place, NASA is again onto something. There seems to be a petit vortex forming in outer space and as great astronomer and astronaut, I’ve been asked to explore in depth this thing. There are certainly some things that must be taken in consideration before attempting to accomplish this mission, weather the results are good or bad. The good things could be that I would be the first man to explore the vortex, another could be that if accomplished I would be greatly recognized possibly various rewards. With this there could be some things that could go wrong. A bad result could be the possible explosion of the spaceship or that the once in outer space the such vortex could suck me in and send me through its yet unknown dimensions and forever be lost or how knows. This would certainly be the facts that an astronaut would have to face but as a man of dedication and curiosity I would definitely be up for the mission.

Spreading the knowledge

There are many inventions in the world that have changed the way people live or just the way they make life easier. Amongst all these inventions there is one in particular that stands out the most and this is the printing press. The printing pres is considered one if not the greatest inventions in world history. This invention helped spread the knowledge in a great way, by paper. In modern day another great invention occurred also changing the way people live and become intelligent. The computer and internet is also considered a great advantage since important information of any kind is available to peoples reach whereas many years before the same information could only be acquired at a library. Aside from that with the help of the computer and internet you are virtually able to shop or make important payments without leaving home, which also reduces your vehicle gas consumption.

carpe diem

The Latin saying carpe diem which translated to the enjoyment of the pleasures of the moment without concern for the future is in my opinion what life in general is or should be for all the people. I believe that the though and/ or act of just enjoying yourself in any given situation is what helps us understand that life is short and we should be in a good state of mind and happiness despite the tragedies that we may be going through. Personally this is how I feel, the fact that there are positive thoughts about myself and the ones around me lets me know for a fact that the good vibe will be attracted towards me, that the chances of something bad happening reduce to a save percentage and that this keeps us healthy/ full of life even if we don’t notice it. we must believe in the hispanic saying that says: "AL MAL TIEMPO BUENOS PENSAMIENTOS" ( TO BAD TIMES GOOD THOUGHTS).

The existance of religion

The word religion has always been a term of importance, ignorance, reflection and also taboo. Religion is one of those terms that now days are not that openly talked about in some parts of the world. I will express my personal opinions in this blog. I believe that religion is a beautiful thing, and is something that in many ways makes us human beings reflect or think much more about life and death in general. This would be seen, or this would be best influenced in the Confucianism religion, in the terms that the combination of differences; good and evil, day and night, men and women, make better. Personally I’m under the catholic religion, which people amongst the Hispanic community refer it to as the “religion of the great believers”, and the reason it is referred like that is because as Catholics we believe and pray not mainly to God or Jesus but to all the saints each recognized for different occurred miracles. Under this religion we are also believers in all the god and the heavens in general. Not going too far out into the catholic religion, I believe that the purpose of religion and its existence is for the well being spiritually, emotionally, and physically of us the descendents of God and Jesus Christ.

civilization

A civilization or something/someone that is civilized, is a place, city, or country where the people or the population is much more upgraded or uptodate on many different things, and various aspects mainly in lifestyle or the way people live/ initeract. Many nations in the world have been civilized over the past thousands of years, a good example of civilization would be the regime of cuahutemoc and the aztec empire in mexico. the aztecs lived based on tribe faith and ideas, at the time everything was done by hand there were no commodities, just the basics for survival. the aztec population was uncivilized until the arrival of the spanish armada of hernan cortez. after the spanish invaded, mexico came into the process of civilization with the tools and equipement that cortez brought through which after hundreds of years the aztec empire in tenochitlan became what is now mexico city. same process goes for many other countries around the globe that have been civilized.
